Der Name spiegelt die Tatsache wider, dass die Inselgruppe je nach aktuellen Flutwellen entweder aus f\u00fcnf oder sechs Inseln bestehen kann. Die Inseln sind unbewohnt, mit Ausnahme von Deungdaedo, das einen Leuchtturm hat. Die anderen Inseln sind Usakdo, Surido, Gonggotdo und Guldo.
